Transport

Until mid-2007, the Commission provided advice to the ACT Government on the regulation of ACTION bus and taxi services in the ACT. In May 2007, the Minister for Territory and Municipal Services revoked the declaration of the taxi industry as a regulated industry under the Independent Competition and Regulatory Commission Act 1997.

The Commission has periodically conducted other transport-related enquiries as directed by the ACT Government.  These have included investigations into ACT Ambulance Service fees and charges, and into fuel prices within the ACT.
