Incentive Mechanisms

Incentives for efficient water and sewerage services delivery

The Independent Competition and Regulatory Commission is reviewing  the incentive mechanisms Icon Water has to operate efficiently in delivering regulated water and sewerage services (the Review). The Review aims to ensure the Commission’s approach to determining regulated water and sewerage prices gives Icon Water incentives to operate efficiently. It also ensures the Commission’s regulatory framework continues to be consistent with the Commission’s objectives under the Independent Competition and Regulatory Commission Act 1997.

The Commission is doing this Review under the 2018 Price Direction for water and sewerage services prices for Icon Water.
