Commission Updates 2018–19 Regulated Electricity Prices for Small Customers
On Thursday, 7 June 2018, the Commission released its annual update of regulated retail electricity prices for ActewAGL Retail’s small customers for the financial year beginning 1 July 2018.

Commission Determines Retail Electricity Prices for Small Customers
On Wednesday, 7 June 2017, the Commission announced its final decision on standing offer prices for the supply of electricity to small customers to apply in the ACT from 1 July 2017 on ActewAGL Retail regulated tariffs.

Public Hearing
On Wednesday, 3 May 2017, the Independent Competition and Regulatory Commission (the Commission) held a public hearing on the Draft Report – Standing Offer Prices for the Supply of Electricity to Small Customers from 1 July 2017.
The public hearing was held at the Waldorf on London, 2 Akuna Street, Canberra City from 3.00pm to 5:00pm.

Release of Draft report: Standing offer prices for the supply of electricity to small customers from 1 July 2017 to 30 June 2020
The Commission released a draft report and proposed price direction on 28 March 2017 for the standing offer prices for the supply of electricity to small customers on ActewAGL Retail’s regulated tariffs from 1 July 2017. A copy of the draft report, the proposed price direction, media release and statement of reasons are available below.

Commission Releases Issues Paper on Retail Electricity Prices for Small Customers
The Commission today released an issues paper on standing offer prices for the supply of electricity to small customers as the first step in determining retail electricity prices to apply in the ACT from 1 July 2017.

Commission receives terms of reference to determine retail electricity prices from 1 July 2017

On 22 June 2016, the Commission received a terms of reference from the Treasurer to determine a price direction for standing offer prices for the supply of electricity to small customers who consume less than 100 MWh of electricity over any period of 12 consecutive months. The price direction will be for the period 1 July 2017 to 30 June 2020.

The Commission intends to publish an issues paper in October 2016. The issues paper will set out the proposed timetable for the price investigation that will result in the price direction and will call for submissions from interested parties.
